"CMS provided us with a realistic timetable, detailed estimates and with a degree of craftsmanship I thought no longer existed. Very simply, they proved that they were people we could trust. It was as if they were building their own home."

PRAISE FOR PAST PROJECTS:

"I met Chuck Newport in Camp Sherman in 1973 where we lived. He was already building custom homes back then.  His aesthetic sense and pride of craftsmanship was remarkable. I told him that if I ever built a house in Central Oregon I was committed to having him do it.

That time came in 2018.  I had bought a 40 acre piece in west Tumalo in 1976.

The setting is spectacular, and Chuck had always said he wanted to be the one who got to build there.

A few months after CMS began construction, Chuck and I were discussing some custom framing details. As I listened to him describe the complexities of what had to be done by his carpenters, I remarked about how carefully and thoroughly they were going about it. His response was unforgettable:

“We don’t build houses. We build furniture.”

My extraordinary dwelling is a testament to Charlie Patterson’s management of his crew’s and contractors’, who are clearly committed to building very large furniture.

Friends kid me about “living in an art installation.”

"I hired CMS three times: first to remodel my kitchen in 2012, then to build a second-floor bedroom, bath and office suite in 2014, and finally to add a major new wing in 2018. That is my testament to the quality of his work. Charlie Patterson is a talented builder who minds the details, meets schedules and stays within budget while delivering high quality construction and finishes. I trust Charlie completely!"

After very positive recommendations from our neighbors and our architect, we chose Charlie Patterson of CMS construction to do a complete remodel of our commercial space in downtown Sisters.  The condition of the building was extremely tired, and we had to completely gut the building, essentially starting over with only the exterior shell. Remodels present unexpected surprises and ours was no exception.  Charlie was wonderful to work with – He is a consummate professional and his subs were the absolute best – professional, courteous, and conscientious.  The entire process was smooth and relatively stress free.  Charlie has very deep knowledge and knowhow, is industrious and can easily problem solve – no problem was insurmountable. We feel very fortunate to have had Charlie at the helm of our project and appreciate the lasting friendship we forged.
